| Awards To Remember was established in January 1983 when owner Robert Smith was a junior in high school. Smith had worked in sales for Oxford Trophy Company during 1982 and purchased the firm's equipment and merchandise in the fall of that year. The firm was originally called Robert D. Smith and Co. And started operation in his parents garage, and then later operated from their basement.
